2006 GWLCC AGM |
The GWLCC AGM/Awards Evening will be
held on the evening Saturday 2 December in Surbiton. Thank you for all your
prompt replies.
Please reserve this date in your diaries; it would be great to see many as
possible of you there.
For the newer players, the purpose of the evening is:
1. For the committee to report back on the 2006 season.
2. To elect a committee for 2007.
3. To decide our strategy re: where we play, who we play,
fees/subscriptions, etc.
4. To elect formally and welcome new members Lloyd Wahed, Sean Carroll,
Darpan Patel, Alex Young, Rob Babar and others.
5. To celebrate a good season.
6. To give out the playing awards.
Formal agenda will be issued nearer the time and will include the
committee's reports and voting forms for the awards.
For now, I need the committee members to let me know whether or not they
wish to stand in 2007. If anyone fancies performing any of the committee
positions - Captain, Vice Captain, Treasurer, Secretary or Chairman - that's
great, we are a democratic club, let the will of the membership be done. The
best thing is to advise me and I will contact you to discuss the steps
required.
Secondly, I need the captain’s and treasurer’s 2006 reports.
Thirdly, it would be good to have notice of any questions to the Committee
though these can, and often are, raised on the night.
Finally, Mr Wright has offered to book the Waggon and Horses function room.
Could he please do so.
